Clipso Hair Art Salon Sdn Bhd began its operation in Subang Jaya on 31stAugust, 2003. Nine months later,first branch salon was opened in June 2004 while first hair academy was opened for enrolment in July 2004 at G-23, The Mines shopping complex, Sri Kembangan, Serdang. 15 months later Clipso was again searching for a suitable place for another academy as the academy at the MINES could no longer take in more students.0n 25th March 2006, newest outlet spanning a space of 2660 sq ft at 1.35E&F, 1st Floor, Podium Block, Plaza Berjaya, 12, Jalan Imbi, 55100. Kuala Lumpur Malaysia was started. 

On 1st Sept 2006, Mines Shopping Fair branch was transferred to Lot 1.03A to 1.06, 1st Floor, South City Plaza,Sri Kembangan which was double the space of what was there before. This is to make more space to increase the student demand.

Both academy premises are modern, pleasant and comfortable and indeed spacious to spend 6 months to 9 months of your life. 

Hair Academy

Clipso Hair Academy is an academy specially created for people of all ages who are interested in hair creativity and design. Besides the basic teaching of colouring, perming, cutting, braiding and bun up-do, etc., it has also recently brought forward a special course for express cutting techniques. This course caters mainly to practicing hair stylists.

Clipso Academy management is always on the look-out for new trends, ideas & technology and therefore endeavors to equip the school with updated hi-tech equipment like the Ceramic and Digital perm machines and body art air-brush machine to provide for a up-trend education.

During lessons, the trainer is committed to obtaining the best of efforts from the students. Clipso has a complete management system that will guide students from zero knowledge to a well trained, skillful and employable graduate stylist. Equal emphasis is placed on theory knowledge, practical on dummy head and walk-in models, as well as attending demos by the trainer and external seminars to gain extra exposure for the students. The academy will also invite professionals in various fields of hair-dressing to hold talks and seminars on the latest techniques.

Not only will the students be taught every aspect of hair dressing in the 6 months diploma course, they will also have the option to extend the current course to a 9-months diploma course to learn how to go about setting up a salon, how to tackle business problems, management of paperwork and inventory control, as well as ordering, supplies and supplier relationship. Those who have had salon working experience may opt to take up shorter courses that last 1, 2 or 3 months. These short courses are cutting, advance cutting, colour techniques, perm styling, creative braiding and bridal and evening hair-styling. 

Make Up

The trainers are well qualified to teach personal day & night make-up, bridal, professional, stage, photography and theatrical make-up. 

We also have professionals make-up services for the bride and relatives during a wedding. 

Nail Art

In this department, our trainer is qualified to teach from basic manicure, pedicure, acrylic nail painting, nail art designing,3-D designing artistic creation to UV gel system. 

For the comfort and convenience of outstation and oversea students, hostel accommodation is available at a set flat rate and is walking distance across the road to/from South City Plaza Shopping Complex. Breakfast and dinner will not be a problem as there are shops nearby.

Clipso has 2 main education facilities located in strategic location within Kuala Lumpur.

Berjaya Plaza

• Berjaya Plaza academy have a training area of close to 3000 sq ft will be able to accommodate a maximum of 100 students with additonal space avaiable within the building for expansion to fit in another 100 student.
• Strategic location within the Golden Triangle Tourist Belt and is very convenient to students coming to classes daily via the Times Square monorail station and with a short 5 minutes walk to school
• Convenience in a wide selection of local authentic Food selection available for our students within walking distance.

South City Plaza

• South City Plaza academy have a training area similar to Berjaya Plaza and will be able to accommodate the same number of students with ample space available within the shopping mall for the expansion to accommodate another 100 student should the need arises.
• Easy acces to location via NKVE ( North Klang Valley Expresway ) High Way.
• Convenience in a wide selection of local authentic Food selection available for our students within walking distance.
• Clipso Hostel facilities available within walking distance to the training centre.

Standards

Clipso adheres to the strict international requirements of Hair training fraternity standards of  training in both locally and internationally with students sitting for international exams and obtain upon graduation :

• City and Guilds ( UK)
• Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Certification ( Ministry of Human Resource Program )
• Wella certification

Comprehensive tutoring in both theory and practical

Apprenticeship attachment within Clipso Hair Studio after their graduation to ensure all Clipso students is fully equiied with the necessary experience and skills before going out into the service industries.

Trainers

Currently we have 5 fulltime trainers to conduct classes to our students and we have plans to hire abother 10 fulltime English speaking trainers to accommodate increase of non Chinese students to the Hair school.

All Trainers of Clipso holds the SKM certification and City Guilds Hair certification to ensure the delivery of quality education to the students.

Course Fees

1. Course fees have been pegged at very competitive rates for students in all of Clipso Hair courses.
2. Clipso is offering a 8 to 10 months fulltime Hair diploma course with at a rate of RM 6,800 to RM 11,000 of per students.
